Social Sustainability 2

It is important to consider social sustainability because communities are not created equal. Institutions have created barriers among them for example in the ghettos and barrio. Governments have been slow to act on issues in these areas. It is similar to social equity because they both are state of affairs in which all people from different race and genders are treated equal, but they are also different because social sustainability focuses on improving and equity focuses on class and race.
