David Dror received his BA from Cornell University in Astronomy. During and after that he
worked for the National Optical Astronomy Observatories, doing research on the angular
momentum of stars. Switching fields, he became a science teacher, and then a science
librarian. David Dror received his Masters in Library and Information Science from the
University of Arizona in 2012. He was hired as the Physics, Math and Engineering Librarian at
UIC in 2013. He is currently researching the relationship between journal citation measures
such as Impact Factor and faculty evaluation of those journals, and his research interests focus
on the quantitative measurements available for analyzing the academic communication system
(primarily journals and articles).
